Block Printing

This 2.5-hour workshop introduces the fundamentals of block printing. It is ideal for individuals interested in learning the traditional techniques and practices of fine art relief printmaking, including carving, inking, simple registration, and printing a small edition by hand.

Participants may also choose to explore how these same techniques can be adapted for printing on everyday objects and functional items, including T-shirts, umbrellas, and other textiles.

Open to most ages. For interested participants below 13 please see our beginner level workshop for kids.

What you'll learn:

• Safe handling of carving tools
• Carving process
• Ink preparation
• Output options: Print Edition (traditional), Umbrella, or T-Shirt 

*Output can be changed according to your preference. Additional fees may apply.

Workshop fee includes:

• Any level Stamp-making kit
• Use consumable materials such as carving blocks, inks, brayers, papers.
• Access to exclusive in-studio products.
  

WHERE: Marz Today Pop-up Studio, Quezon City

• The studio is a block from Maginhawa St. Teachers Village East, Quezon City. 
• For vehicles, only street parking is available. 
• Private classes are offered in our studio while off-site workshops can be conducted in a venue of your choice. Please make sure that this is coordinated with the venue if it is a public place (ex. cafe, library, etc.)

Requirements
- No prior experience needed. Just bring yourself
- In-studio workshops can accommodate a maximum of (2) participants
- Larger groups 3 or more will be facilitated in a nearby venue.
